Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church is a small country church that was founded on June 24, 1920 at Pleasant View Schoolhouse in rural Mount Vernon, Illinois. The church was organized with the objective to introduce people to the saving power of Jesus Christ through missionary work.
The church continues to operate today with our doors open every Sunday for various bible study and worship services. Our missionary work continues to this day, with our church donating money and other goods to various home and foreign missions, as well as the Carmi Baptist Children’s Home and Angel’s Cove in Mount Vernon.
We’ve been known for our friendly and welcome attitude toward everyone that joins us. Our doors are open every Sunday with various services to meet your needs. Learn more about our service times, or get directions to our location below. We invite you to visit us this Sunday and see why we call ourselves “The Little Church With The Big Heart“!
