Our Plan For 2021 and Beyond

It’s no secret that the past year has brought us many challenges as a church.

Over the course of 2020, we’ve seen attendance decrease, as well as the amount of funding coming into the church. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hard at work formulating a plan that we hope will carry our church through 2021 and beyond (this explains our recent radio silence on both the website and social media).

For starters, our pastor of over 10 years—Bro. Richard Mays—will be stepping aside. This is not a decision that was made lightly. We greatly appreciate the work he has done for our church over the years and was instrumental in many of our recent outreach efforts. We will be having Bro. Stephen Beatty pastor our church on an interim basis until a new permanent pastor can be found.

Additionally, we plan on implementing a community-wide outreach effort as the year progresses, which will span both print- and web-based mediums. We hope that this will allow our church to continue to thrive in a time when people are looking for hope and stability.

We want to thank each and every one who calls this church “home”, and look forward to providing you with many more years of sharing the gospel message.

Much love and blessings,

— Pleasant View Staff
